THE STORY OF ADAPTIVE MEDIA
2020
2020 certainly brought some unexpected turns, but that didn’t slow us down. To protect our employees, we switched to mostly home-based work early. Our team increase by 53% new in-house colleagues, while our largest project welcomed its four-millionth visitor. We also started 10 new projects, entered 7 more countries, and even launched our first product! All that hard work paid off as our business turnover increased three times.
2019
2019 has brought us the most success so far. We have created over 200 projects in more than 30 countries, and the number is still growing. Total visitor count for all our projects combined now exceeds 1 million users per month. We have not seized to build our team either by actively sourcing and growing in numbers with creative and talented colleagues who would help our company reach the next level and the one after that. In 2019 Adaptive Media was noticed, recognized, and awarded as the fastest growing start-up company in Valmiera.
2018
Continuing our expansion, we opened our first office outside of Valmiera - in the capital of Latvia, Riga. In the search for new partners, we organized our first work trip outside of EU. At the end of 2018, our largest and most successful project had reached a milestone of 1 million visitors per year. By continuous creation of new projects in new countries and markets, so far, we had worked with over one hundred freelancers.
2017
2017 was not much different from the year before – we were growing rapidly regarding projects, countries, and markets. We had new projects started in several Asian and Latin-American countries. In 2017 we launched our 100th digital marketing project. Our team did not stop to expand either, as we added our 10th employee in our midst. This year, on a side from SEO, we also started to exercise paid marketing strategies.
2016
A year of rapid growth for Adaptive Media. In addition to projects in Latvia and the US, we started SEO projects in other European countries. One of the most successful projects now have over 1000 visitors from organic traffic per day. We also continued to enforce our in-house employee count, and the number of freelancers that we were working with grew exponentially. On a side note – we moved our office space to one that had air conditioning – hot Latvian summers felt utterly different now.
2015
Was the year that marked first success. At the beginning of 2015, some of the SEO projects had reached 1st positions for various search terms. This, in turn, generated the first considerable income that made us realize that more workforce is in order. Thus, born the necessity of hiring our first employee. In the meantime, we moved into our first real office space – the attic was getting too crowded for a team of four people. This was the year when we also hired our first freelancer.
2014
It all started in 2014, in the attic of one of the founders. Digital marketing was on the radar of every one of the founders already in 2013. In 2014 we decided to pool all our knowledge and experience to reach targets that we could not achieve if working separately. During the year, first SEO driven projects were started, targeting Latvian and US markets. Although several of our first projects resulted in a failure, others are still going strong and keep generating traffic day by day.
